Plans by the two U.S universities and Canadian universities---the University of California System, the Californai Institute of Technology and the Association of Canadain Universities for Research in Astronomy to build a massive 30 meter optical telescope at the summit of Hawaiian Mauna Volcano have been given go-ahead on Friday by the Hawaiian board of Land and Natural Resources.
The project, which is expected to cost $1 billion, will help Scientists get images of space and monitor how new planets and stars are formed.
The telescope should be able get image of object in space 13 billion light years away.
