Are you concerned about your digital afterlife? by this, I mean your ability to control your online data after you are gone. Google recently, launched a new tool that will help you do just that.
Google calls this new tool 'inactive account manager'' that you can use to plan your digital afterlife. No doubts there are certain things an individual keeps private; even in services offered by some global companies like Google. He does so to protect his personal information online. All your Google+ post, comments, Gmail email, your contacts list, Google+profile pictures, Picassa web albums and so many others, can be controlled by you or your family members when you are still alive or, after you are gone.
What an individual keeps private, could have negative or postive effects to his family when he is gone. So, while stiill alive, the individual can protect his personal information by choosing the three options offered by the tool: delete inactive account after three months, six or 12.
If the eventually dies, his family can delete his personal information. But first, they must show proof of family status as well as proof of death.
What's your take on this?
