Smart bracelet that could help save aid workers in danger have been built

In an effort to immediately swing into action whenever an aid worker is kidnapped or in danger, the Civil Rights Defenders have developed a set of GPS bracelets that could help save aid workers in war or in conflict zones by sending out alert that the aid worker is in danger.
The GPS bracelet when put on by the worker, will be able to send alert that he is in danger. A signal with the aid worker GPS location will be sent by the bracelet to his headquarter or team close by. The warnings are sent in the form of message to social media websites such as, Facebook and Twitter.
According to the Civil Rights Defenders, the bracelet can alert thousands of people automatically. They also said that by 2014, 55 bracelets will be given out and, seek those who are in support of the project to make  a donation of any amount.
These bracelets will surely be of great help especially to those living in the conflict zones of Nigeria where Kidnapping and killing are the order of the day.
