ROBOTIC SINGLE PASSENGER SELF DRIVING CAR UNVEILED IN JAPAN

Due to the increasing number of aged people and those who have difficulty in walking in Japan, Hitachi, the nation conglomerate unveiled a single passenger robotic car that can drive itself without the driver doing a thing.
The ROPITS, robot for personal intelligent transport system, is equipped with Global positioning system, GPS that lets the car find it way. It also has laser distance sensors just as Google self driven car, as well as the one unveiled by Oxford University.
When tested, the robotic self-driving car hit 34 miles per hour and could weave around traffic in tiny vehicle.
The driver can reach his desired destination simply by tapping his destination on the car touch screen map.
