People browse the Internet using tablets, during the opening of "Tablette Cafe", on May 27, 2013, in Dakar
Google last year, offered funding to open the first tablet cafe in the African region , so many Cyber cafe owners applied, but Google picked 33 year-old Medoune Seck from Senegal as a Guinea pig. The search giant introduced the first Cyber Cafe in the world that functions only with tablets.
According to Head of Google in French speaking Africa, Tidiane Deme "This is the first tablet cafe in the world, a cafe that works with tablets,". Over there in Senegal, tablets lead over PCs.
It is believe that due to the unstable power supply in Senegal, more Cyber Cafes would shift from using PCs to tablets.
The Cyber Cafe now has over 15 tablets and installed private cabins for video chats, but only has 3 PCs which customers no longer pay attention to.
